results.

The village still has its wide selection of shops for you to
visit, there are new pavements to ensure safety and the millenium garden and
landscaping of the large free village car park are well advanced, let us know
what you think of our efforts…Mullion is going to be very busy this winter as
on the 12th December it is the Centenary of the sending of the first
trans-atlantic radio signal from Poldhu to Canada. Work on the new ‘Marconi
Centre’ has already started; this will provide a permenant commemoration of
the historic site. It will be part radio clubhouse and part exhibition hall, and
will bed on the 12th December 2001. On that day we will be
linking up with London, Canada, USA and Italy and are expecting worldwide media
interest and coverage.
